Purpose
This section mixes three things that belong together: classic systems papers, notes on how to read and evaluate papers, and a small amount of original research writing. How to Read a Paper and Strong Inference are the method notes. The rest are paper summaries, design essays, and project writeups.
The cluster is broad on purpose. Some notes are about operating systems, some about networking, some about methods, and some about machine learning systems. The point is not one subfield. The point is to keep the design arguments and empirical habits in one place.
